Astro Diner Alien Codex

Last updated: June 2026

The aliens in Astro Diner are generated from name pieces, faces, and service archetypes. This codex focuses on the current customer behavior players can actually meet in a shift.

Playable customer archetypes

Phase 2 uses 4 playable customer archetypes in each released campaign shift. Names and faces are now authored from campaign data, while the live service logic still reads patience decay, score value, and archetype.

Released shifts using these archetypes: Neon Lunch Rush and Magma Dinner Surge. This keeps customer guidance aligned with the playable campaign instead of future unreleased sectors.

Regular

Grey 👽 has a score value of 18 and patience decay of 1. Steady guest.

Baseline diners rebuild rhythm and keep the queue calm. They are the safest targets for learning a new recipe set, restoring combo confidence, and buying time while higher-pressure customers are still readable.

Rush Guest

Zip 👾 has a score value of 42 and patience decay of 1.85. Fast patience drain.

Check Rush tickets immediately because they can cost a life. Their higher value makes them worth saving, but only if the ingredient order is clear enough to serve without breaking the current streak.

Premium Critic

Lux 🤖 has a score value of 58 and patience decay of 0.82. Patient high-value critic.

Critics pay well and decay slowly, so serve them when stable. Their patience makes them useful anchor orders: read the ticket early, clear urgent guests, then return before the perfect bonus window closes.

Bonus Tipper

Tippo 👻 has a score value of 36 and patience decay of 1.18. Generous mid-pressure diner.

Bonus Tippers are earning targets after urgent tickets are safe. They sit between regular and rush pressure, which makes them good choices for preserving combo value without ignoring the lane.

Customer examples in context

The codex separates identity from behavior. Alien names and faces can change, while the service decision comes from archetype, patience, score value, and ticket shape. That distinction helps players make better decisions without memorizing random generated names.

A useful player example is a Rush Guest beside a Premium Critic. The Rush Guest may need immediate service because patience is collapsing. The critic may be worth more, but slower decay means the correct move can be to stabilize the lane first.
